(Scottsdale, Arizona September 17, 2022): Keller Williams Arizona Realty presented a $500 scholarship for real estate to Samantha House, a student at Scottsdale Community College. Representatives from Keller Williams Arizona Realty made the presentation during a real estate job fair held at the College’s Business School on Saturday, September 17. Samantha submitted her qualifying application and it was chosen as the winner among several entries by a committee consisting of representatives from both Scottsdale Community College and Keller Williams Arizona Realty.

 

$500 Scholarship Supports Diversity

 

David Morse, CEO/Team Leader at Keller Williams Arizona Realty, believes this $500 scholarship offers diversity students a measure of encouragement and assistance in the pursuit of their real estate career. “Keller Williams as a company highly values diversity,” Morse states. “We truly live our belief system, and it promotes equity: opportunities for all. We are excited for Samantha as she continues her journey in real estate education and the real estate industry.”

 

$500 Scholarship Criteria

 

The Keller Williams Arizona Realty $500 Scholarship criteria include the following:

  • Preference given to a member of an underrepresented group in real estate, such as Indigenous, Hispanic, Black, Other [e.g. person with a disability, LGBTQIA+].
  • Financial need, as demonstrated in their essay.
  • Qualifies for in-county tuition.
  • Enrolled in Scottsdale Community College’s Real Estate: Prelicense Certificate of Completion (CCL) program, which includes REA201 and REA290AH.
  • Must be eligible to legally become a licensed real estate agent in Arizona according to Arizona Department of Real Estate regulations located at https://azre.gov/licensees/original-licensing-information. 
  • Committee gives preference to students who reside in Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert.
