Meet Bubba Clement III!
An interview with Bubba Clement III, REALTOR® and Phoenix Team Leader at Team Integrity at Keller Williams Arizona Realty. Bubba serves as the Chairperson of the Wellness Committee on the Keller Williams Arizona Realty Agent Leadership Council (ALC) for 2022.
1. Tell us about your background and interest in real estate.
I am an Arizona native, born and raised in Tucson. Originally I went to school for real estate in 2005. Around that same time, I took off traveling around the country with Vinesong, a gospel band.
After spending time with the band, I went to respiratory school, had kids, and was working in a restaurant as a bartender. As a result, I was burning out due to the extra work and long night shifts at the hospital. Those night shifts can be tough!
I learned that real estate classes are good for 10 years before they expire and have to be retaken. Therefore, I could sit for the Arizona Department of Real Estate licensing exam based on the classes I had previously taken. So, in 2015 I finally took the exam for my license. I successfully passed the exam, and I have been in the real estate industry ever since.
2. What specifically brought you to Keller Williams Arizona Realty?
I was originally with Keller Williams Biltmore Partners for about two years. Faye Humphrey is a friend of mine and she drew me to that brokerage. I was a solo agent for a few years, and then I moved over to My Home Group.
Chase Delperdang, Director of Growth for Team Integrity based at Keller Williams Southern Arizona, contacted me and said they wanted to expand here in this market area. I also spoke with the Team Owner and CEO, Aaron Wilson. They convinced me to take on this new opportunity at Keller Williams Arizona Realty. Chase and I have been best buddies ever since 7th grade. Therefore, I was happy and grateful to accept the role of Phoenix Team Leader for Team Integrity.
3. What do you like most about working at this brokerage?
Two words: “the people!” All of the market center Leadership Team members are amazing to work with and really care about me, my family, and my business. I enjoy talking with Jim Dunning and Kristan Cole and learn so much about the business from them.
Managing Broker Kate Matteson is always on the lookout to be sure everything is correct. Leslie Creswell, the Market Center Administrator, provides excellent support and service for our financial requirements. I am grateful to Lisa Hardin for always making sure our commission checks are correct and delivered in a timely manner.
Everyone on the team is always willing to help me. This is a really wonderful thing to see and experience each and every day. It is a joy to come to work at Keller Williams Arizona Realty and know that it is like coming home, or coming to a friend’s home. That warm welcoming feeling is what keeps me here and gives me motivation!
4. Tell us about your Committee and its focus.
The Wellness Committee is almost like a part of the Culture Committee. We want to help develop that cohesiveness among the market center’s agents, teams, groups, and staff. This in turn will create a powerful and strong organization. We have been having softball games, and will soon start a kickball team. Sports and sporting events are great ways to build teamwork. Even just watching sports together can build camaraderie and a shared sense of belonging.
Our goal is for us to get together, have fun, and form deep bonds. Working on this committee also helps me take a look at myself. As a result, I have been examining my goals and challenges. This helps keep me accountable to what it is I want to do for my own health and wellness.
5. What motivated you to accept the leadership position of your Committee?
I want to give back to those who have given me so much. Being here has changed my business, my life, and my kiddo’s lives. The business support the market center provides is superb, and the Keller Williams networking is unbelievable.
Giving back is important to help others have opportunities that I have been given. I always want to make people feel welcome. We are all so often on the go, and have many separate offices and locations. Therefore, it is great to get together now and then to help reinforce who we are and our mission in this wonderful KW business.
6. What do you hope your Committee is able to achieve this year?
I hope to be able to help build the cultural base for KWAZ through wellness initiatives. Mostly I want us to focus on wellness and fun. Getting together, talking and connecting with each other, and enjoying our lives. This will in turn help us develop those deeper bonds of friendship and stronger relationships. With the Keller Williams culture as our foundation, those relationships become the places where we can both grow and serve God, Family, and then Business.
7. Where will we meet Bubba Clement in the future?
I want other real estate professionals to have the same opportunities that I have had in my career. It is important for me to help others learn to change their lives for the better as I have been able to do. Helping others achieve their goals and live their best lives fills me with much joy and happiness.
I believe in our KW culture and I know that by helping others, I am following the right path for my own life and career. I am always glad to talk with anyone, and enjoy getting to know them and how best I can help them.
